Hope for Christmas - Clongowes Wood College

Posted: 19th November 2016

This week some members of our year group helped to check and pack Christmas presents at Team Hope’s Depot at nearby Peamount Hospital in Newcastle. (See info@teamhope.ie for more information on this project).

We are all familiar with the annual appeal for shoebox presents for children throughout the country and it was a privilege to help out at one of the many depots, which prepare the boxes for departure overseas.

The hundreds of presents that were packed where we were working will be shipped before Christmas to children in poverty stricken areas of Africa.

We were delighted to become honorary Santa’s little helpers for a while and hope that our efforts help to bring smiles to some children this Christmas time.
