As part of their fund raising campaign for the Clongowes Duck Push the gentlemen of Syntax are organising the Duck Push Golf Classic at the K-Club in Straffan Co. Kildare on Wednesday, May 3rd. They are aiming to attract 25 teams, each consisting of 4 golfers, to take part in this special event for which Dr. Michael Smurfit (OC’52) has very kindly donated a Perpetual Cup.
The day will commence with registration at 13.00, followed by a shotgun start on the Smurfit Course at 14.00, and will conclude with a meal and prize presentation in the Smurfit Clubhouse. The entry fee is €500 per team.
Any money raised through Duck Push related events is used to purchase valuable medical equipment for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. Last year the Transition Year group raised in excess of €70,000 between the Duck Push itself, which covered some 200km between Dublin and Limerick, and numerous other fundraisers. The monies raised are used exclusively to purchase valuable medical equipment for the hospital and last year’s funds went towards equipment used in treating patients with cystic fibrosis.
Like their predecessors, Transition Year 2017 is hoping to do its very best for the sick children cared for by the hospital and you can help. If you would like to take part in this exclusive event please contact us at duckpushgolf@gmail.com or by calling 045 868202
