Two lucky students from Rudiments, Jack Dowling and Tadhg Maloney (pictured), will feature in a unique theatrical production of James Joyce’s ‘A Portrait of the Artist’, which will be premiered in Brussels. Both Tadhg and Jack recorded the famous ‘hell sermon’ from Joyce’s work, which was partially set in Clongowes.
The production is under the guidance of the noted Belgian director Ms. Carly Wijns, and the voices of Tadhg and Jack will feature prominently. The recording took place in Clongowes with the assistance of Stef Alsenoy and Sander Tas, both recording experts. We would like to thank Willie White (OC ’88), Director of the Dublin Theatre Festival who was instrumental in setting up the event.
