For the almost twenty years, Transition Year students at Clongowes Wood College have been taking part in the annual Duck Push fundraising event. During the month of May, 35 TY students alongside six members of staff push two 8ft tall yellow ducks from Dublin to Limerick in aid of Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin and The First Step Georgia. The gruelling 260 kilometre journey takes the Duck Push crew ten days to complete, with stops in various towns along the way.

Since 1990 the Duck Push has successfully raised over one and a half million euro for its charities, thanks to the generosity of all those who have donated. With your help we can make Duck Push 2011 the most successful year yet, but we still have a long way to go and during the current tough economic climate every donation no matter how small can really make a difference
